We are fairly new to homesteading. We don’t own any land yet but are hoping to someday. But homesteading doesn’t necessarily mean you have to have land. You can become a homesteader anywhere, even in an apt or condo. Homesteading simply means that you want to go back to the methods of taking care of your family that have been practiced for thousands of years. You want to take charge of your self sufficiency. This is different for each family. Some may want to have more control over their food. Some may want to make their own personal care products. Some may want to go whole hog (pardon the pun) and raise their own animals to get eggs, meat, milk, etc. Homesteading is whatever works for you. The sites on this page are sites that combine many homesteading skills. Other pages in the Homesteading section will have sites that are specific to gardening, off grid, etc. For more homesteading skills, see the Online Businesses page, the Health page and the Homemaking page.
