I chose to have this be it’s own section as it’s such a huge part of the homesteading lifestyle and there are some sites that are dedicated to it. Gardening, as all other things homesteading, can be done on a small scale, such as pots on the back patio of your condo, to entire fields of crops. We started out with pots on the front and back decks of our first condo. I loved even that small of a setting. We worked our way up to growing a decent amount in two 16×20 feet sections in the small backyard of our previous house. I absolutely love watching the things we have planted grow, but due to poor health, I’ve had to put gardeneng on hold for now. When we do garden, we only garden organically, as we do everything in our lives. Everyone we promote here does the same. See our General Homesteading and Online Businesses sections for more advice and seed companies we recommend.
